Atlas Diagnostics is leading the way in radiology staffing and reporting. Operating for over 15 years, Atlas is a family-run organisation and has grown to become the UK’s largest provider of secondary care ultrasound, and a trusted partner in radiology reporting and diagnostic radiographers covering CT, MR, Plain Film, and DEXA.

Our radiology-only focused staffing and reporting services support NHS trusts and private hospitals in tackling staffing shortages and reducing diagnostic delays, ensuring patients receive timely, accurate diagnoses.

By combining clinical excellence with a personal, family-driven approach, Atlas Diagnostics is dedicated to supporting the NHS and shaping the future of radiology services.

Our history

2011

Atlas Diagnostics was founded by Consultant Radiologist Dr. Paul Wheeler

2018

Expanded services to include ultrasound, nuclear medicine, radiography & MDT

2020

Secured partnerships with 15 NHS trusts

2021

Expanded services to include clinical support workers and moved our office to MediaCityUK

2022

Became a full-service radiology business and obtained major accreditations such as ISO 9001, 14001, 27001

2024

Launched teleradiology services & achieved CQC registration
200+ team members, 40,000 examinations per month

2025

Clinical team grew to 300+ team members
20+ NHS trusts partnerships secured
